Composition - 100 g:
-Amoxicillinum (ut trihydricum) 10.00 g
-Lactosum monohydricum 100.00 g
Pharmacological properties:
Amoxicillin is the bactericidal beta-lactamase antibiotics. It inhibits peptidoglycan synthesis in bacteria through mureinsynthetase inhibition and thus eliminates formation of a bacterial wall. Amoxicillin is effective already at very low concentrations against Streptococcus suis type-2 (MIC 90 < 0.02 mg/ml); in addition, it is also effective against other bacteria of Streptococcus, Staphylococcus (penicillinase-negative strains), Corynebacterium, Clostridium, Bacillus, Erysipelothrix, Campylobacter, Pasteurella, Escherichia, Salmonella, Serpulina, Bordetella, and Actinobacillus species.
Amoxicillin is well absorbed from gastrointestinal tract; its therapeutic level in plasma is kept for the whole treatment period. It is eliminated through urine in its active form.
Indication:
Infectious diseases caused by germs sensitive to amoxicillin, e.g. infection of upper airways and lungs, post-delivery infections, urogenital tract infections, hepatobiliary infection, salmonellosis, Coli infections, etc.
Contraindication:
Hypersensitivity to penicillin antibiotics; the preparation shall not be applied to ruminating animals. Never apply the preparation also to rabbits, hamsters, guinea pigs and other small herbivores.
